In-Situ Waste Water Treatment

Phytoremediation technique is a branch of bioremediation that employs the application of plants for the remediation of wastewater. It employs the potentials of plant roots to absorb nutrients from wastewater. Plant species selected for phytoremediation have the ability to accumulate specific or wide range of pollutants.

Phytoremediation technique is more efficient and cost effective than the conventional treatment techniques.

Phytoremediation affirmatively applies this process to help clean up contamination created by artificial means. Plants have proven effective at remediating areas contaminated with organic chemical wastes such as petroleum products, solvents, woodpresematives, pesticides, and metals.

Related to this, one project is running in Nagda for the waste water treatment of Nallah through Phytoremediation techniques.
